ah...

yes, so today was the 'date'

so, he came to collect me (very uncomfortable when he showed up at the front door, and didn't just sit in car and toot horn...funny, Kirst asked me what i'd do if he did that? and i was clear as about that...nothing!) 

anyway, i digress!

so, he picked me up, came in briefly and then we set off....i was feeling woeful (tired and sad so asked him to make a pitstop so i could grab a full strength coke)

but there's no getting around it, it was an awkward start! mind, he is awkward (well i find him so) at the best of times....but overall assessment is ,wait for it: nice, yep, definitely nice!

so a coupla hours in the pub, then a stroll to his local pizza place, dinner back at his and a movie! a romcom no less....who would have seen that coming? not me!

surprising too, there is so much more to him than meets the eye...so much to like in fact and my initial assessment of him was perhaps, I admit, probably not right... hastily formed?

a romcom lying on his couch with his arms around me...hadn't picked him for being tactile and it felt so nice, so comfortable...this after he had, a couple of times put his arms around me on the walk home...first time he commented on how short i was! ha, that's what happens when you go out with someone in thongs...usually he sees me in heels!, and of course, i am short!

yep, surprising :)so when it came time for me to leave he drove me up the road so I could get a cab, waited with me....and then it was v awkward...so I kissed him goodnight immediately before getting into a cab...i'd like for him to have initiated but maybe he's shy? 

so many surprises...so many things in common (shared desire to live in NYC for one, tv shows)...

so, was kind of blown away....was nice, mostly very comfortable and well, I had a lovely time...hope there will be a repeat!
